What is the difference between this Bachelor and a Bachelor in Biotechnology?
This may be your biggest question. In Biomedicine, the focus is on understanding how the human body works and the mechanisms that cause disease. In contrast, Biotechnology applies biological knowledge to areas such as industry and agriculture, while Biomedicine is exclusively centered on human health and biomedical research.

You will pursue your dream of studying in 700 m² of specialized teaching laboratories and a 300 m² research laboratory, home to 5 research groups working in cutting-edge fields such as oncology, gene and cell therapy, neuroscience, and microbial biotechnology.
At UFV, in addition to your Bachelor, you will also earn a Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Project Management, with a specialisation in medical or clinical research, allowing you to stand out and become a specialist.
You will complete compulsory internships at research centers and hospitals both nationally and internationally, including Imperial College London, Harvard Medical School, Mount Sinaí School of Medicine, and many others.
You will learn in state-of-the-art facilities, including specialized laboratories (cell cultures, advanced microscopy, histopathology…) and research laboratories. In addition, you will have access to an Advanced Clinical Simulation Centre.
You will benefit from over 500 hours of practical training in small groups, developing your technical skills with cutting-edge technology.
